Agtech it to death

I’ve spent the last couple of days visiting a large wine maker to talk carbon reporting. The carbon bit was interesting but more interesting was the discussion we had about how much data is enough and what is the minimum resolution required for the data to be useful. The discussion went beyond carbon.

It for me thinking about adoption. Agtech companies are created by passionate individuals who want the right answers. Not the good enough answers and offer good enough is, well good enough.

High resolution data creates headaches. More data points require more validation and evidence. In the world of sustainability reporting this opens organisations up to green washing but then so does data that contains too many assumptions. This is going to take a while...
